Synopsis :

Julia, a dedicated music student, gets involved in the growing feminist movement on her university campus – a group effort where women step up to bring attention to the widespread harassment and abuse suffered by many of their peers. Amid the excitement of protest marches, Julia joins her friends in dancing and singing, revisiting her own experiences of mistreatment. As she gathers the courage to share her story, she unexpectedly becomes a central figure in the movement-a role she didn’t foresee, which forces her to address her identity as a survivor in a society that promises change but remains resistant to it.

AD notes :

From my perspective, the first major challenge was coordinating the huge number of people involved. We had a core team of about 250 people, and for several weeks we had days with as many as 650. Added to this was the large number of departments involved: several of the usual ones had to be doubled (costumes, makeup, and catering), and new ones were added, such as lip-sync, voice and singing coaches, dance coaches, and personal trainers for the large acting and dance group. Filming took place during an extremely hot summer, so we even had to create a “Hydration Unit,” which ended up becoming a crucial area for optimizing shooting time.

The biggest challenge, however, was managing to allocate the necessary time to the dance sequences while rigorously maintaining lighting continuity. The outdoor scenes spanned several weeks, and the daily schedule combined dramatic scenes in the morning so that afternoons could be dedicated to filming the choreography. The grand final sequence, meanwhile, was filmed over three weeks, at various real-life locations as well as in the studio.

Not only the Ad’s team but the entire film crew proved their ability to take on huge, complex, and demanding projects. Making a musical film in a region with out tradition of musicals was a challenge that taught us the methods and tools needed to carry out the project.
